KAYLENE: and its BACK! LUVEES.. byebye Chub rub!

Finally! After the 1st successful batch of Luvees in shop, the stocks have been finally replenished but this time is extremely limited quantities as the supplier does not have enough stocks as this FABULOUS product is selling extremely extremely well in various continents. So, now the question is this, " What is Luvees all about? What is the big hype huh?" For those who haven't own Luvees and has stocked up (yup, we have customers buying their 4th, 5th pieces ) I will tell you! If you ask me, this is defnitely a Must-Have in every girls wardrobe! Okay before I start, let me ask you;

Have you ever felt discomfort or pain in between your thighs and causing you so much embaressment? Have you just wish that there is something you can do to prevent this pain?

What you are experiencing is that you have 'chub-rub', abrasion in between the thighs or most in the USA will call it chafing.

If you are nodding your head now or raising your hands, you will be pleased to know that KAYLENE is the first to bring in Luvees to Singapore (this is the 3rd batch.. you can figure how good the product is) Luvees is made of high quality lace and polyester sewn like a shorts or tights for you to slip it in. The Lace although soft and smooth, it has holes that allows your skin to 'breathe' It is extremely comfortable and the lace doesnt itch you at all! Luvees prevents abrasion and many had feedbacked that you may not even feel its existence after wearing for a while!

When I was younger, I didnt know why I had this problem, I was embarassed and awkward, friends and collegues asked me why I didnt wanna hang out with them. I really couldnt bring myself to tell them that I am in pain. Sometimes the pain is manageable, sometimes, it swells so bad till I needed 2 days for it to heel. Almost every time I go out, I make a little mental note to try my very best to not have this horrible pain.

Dont laugh girl! its true story and have never told anyone about this (now EVERYONE knows~) When I found about this product, I immediately contacted the founder of Luvees and she was so kind to sell this fabulous product in Singapore. The rest is history and since then, I have religiously been wearing Luvees whenever I go out for a long day. During holidays are a confirmed must have as I tend to walk alot for sightseeing. Abrasion in between my thighs should be the LEAST problem you need to face.

We are please to launch Luvees again! In 2 colours, white and black, only this tim in limited quantities and sizes. We do not have the full size set this time round. Finally we can say good bye to chub rub! And Yeay-ness to putting on the new dress you just bought!

Blog: Cabiria- First Plus Size Line Featured in New York Fashion Week 2013

This post is considered a little old, and some of the fashionistas out there will prolly know and hear of the recent hype (yeayness for me!) on Cabiria designed by Eden Miller was invited to showcase their work as first plus size line in Mercedez-Benz NYFW. It was certainly a huge milestone and a big positive step for the fashion industry to include a plus size line to be showcased.

When I heard about it a couple of weeks ago, I got really excited and started doing research on this brand. Cabiria, I personally feel that they deserved to be side by side with brands like Betsey Johnson, BCBG Maxazria, Tommy Hilfiger and many many more. During the research on Cabiria, I was very happy to know that finally a plus size designer can stand beside the other brands with head up high, saying that they also do deserve a platform to be showcased. It was by accident that she was invited to showcase her work, reminded me that God always gives opportunities in very unique ways.  Now, about Cabiria, let me show you a couple of pictures...

I quite like the style and elegance shown in each outfit and colours being injected into each piece was something I am inspired by. Looking through all the works and achievements Eden Miller and Cabiria has reminded me once again on why I chose to give up a comfortable pay check as a jewelry designer and take on this challanging road. I love making plus size girls feel confident through pretty clothes and in hope that they will appreciate and learn to accept their body, embrace their curves and lead a happy life.

I would like to take this time to congratulate Miss Eden Miller and Cabiria for making a history in the Mercedez-Benz fashion scene and that she will grow into greater heights! As for myself? Long long long time ago, I did put it out to the universe that I would like to be known better in the local fashion industry to be able to showcase our work in the local fashion scene... but until I am ready, an invitation to attend the show is more than enough for me~~

KAYLENE: Now, what's your size?

Hey girls, need your help urgently!!! Its the time of the year when KAYLENE and team will be busy doing reviews on customers size and their styles. This is important for us to be able to produce apparels that are of your liking and of your size. We will need your help badly on telling me your size (UK size) or the preferred bust measurement CIRCUMFERENCE in inches. We will need minimum 100 comments on this so that we can tabulate the final results with better accuracy!

Are the majority fall under the UK14-16 category? Or the UK18-20, or perhaps we are missing out on the UK22-24? Tell us so that we can improve!

Blog: We met Mediacorp's Michelle Tay aka 'Yi Da Li'!

Last week, I was so honoured to be invited to a show which Michelle Tay is hosting. We have been on and off been sponsoring Michelle's apparel for a couple of years and interestingly, I have NEVER EVER met her in person before! How ironic! So when I know I could go to Mediacorp and watch her 'work' I was so excited!!!

After her recording was done, I managed to speak briefly to Michelle. She is such a wonderful and gentle lady. We exchanged words of encouragement and parted our ways.... So happy indeed!

We wish Michelle Tay all the best in her future endeavors and hope she will be able to stay happy! I know its really not being an artist let alone being a plus size artist! Think about the shoes problem, the wardrobe styling, the persona created for her... she has definitely come a long way to achieve what she has today, so KAYLENE and I will support her in the best we can for her! DO you have any words of encouragement for her? Tell it through KAYLENE!

Oh Oh OH! before I forget, her stylist sent me a msg a couple of days ago and I was so happy that the producer as well as the styling team loves the clothes on her. Good Job KAYLENE! It immediately gave me this warm fuzzy feeling...

Sometmes, a simple message from anyone can really make a difference. That message could possibly lighten up a very dark day for me and remind me that what I am doing is right and worth doing for... Okay gtg! Its a beautiful cooling Thursday and I need to continue our upcoming design, come, let me show you a sneak peak.....

Blog: America's Next Top Model: Season 10 (Plus Size edition), Whitney Thompson

Hello! I had to blog this up before I doze off, had a bad rest last night and I really needed to hit the sack before my headache comes knocking... Yes! As you can see from the header, I was very fortunate to be invited to have High Tea with ANTM Season 10's winner, Whitney Thomson! It was definitely and honour to be able to able to rub shoulders with her, spoke about KAYLENE etc. She was really nice and friendly, could tell she is still struggling from the fatigue but really, it is not easy, flying across the globe and doing events at weird time zone. IMPRESSIVE. It is really not easy to be a celebrity. I really dont know how I will be able to handle such case as I am one who gets grouchy when I am lack of sleep... *grins* I MUST ADD that all these was made possible through Miss Liza and Miss Sharm as they organised this event. If not for them, I will never be able to dream of meeting her in person.

Well, she is definitely busy busy busy! Am following her via Instagram and since her departure from Singapore just days ago, she has gone to London and I believe right now she is in Sweden for photoshoot. This girl is a really busy lady!

The event, if only I could, I would wish more of you girls could meet up with her. Unfortunately, it was a private event and in a way I was glad that it happened this way. It was more personal, more private. I did mention to the organizors that in future should similar events happen, we gotta tell the girls! Sharm even mentioned 'You never know, maybe Adele in future?' OMG. If.tt.happens.I.will.faintonthespot. Now, pictures! I bet you girls wanna see what we did!
