Shop had a mini makeoever!

This is definitely a belated post! We have been busy preparing new stocks for the shop. From dresses to jewelry, we have been busy emailing suppliers and liasing with factory to make sure the productions will go on as scheduled. Its definitely stressing as every time around this year, we will need to firm up the collection and direction on styles the company wish to achieve....

And yes! we re almost done! For this upcoming months, be expected to see more goodies from Hong Kong, winter wear, more Luxe pieces and specially designed pieces. We are also very excited to bring in authentic plus size vintage dresses as well as bras! We have seen the designs of the above mentioned and we are so excited as each of them look so pretty! Really cant wait for all the items to arrive in shop and you girls will have a first hand on these items.

While in the midst of preparing all these items for you, the jewelry 'department' has been busy as well, we decided to give the jewelry a better 'home' and hence the mini makeover. The end result? We love it! Come, let us give you a sneak peek...

Love how the layout is now? Neater and so much sweeter isnt it? The layout makes the jewelry easier to be seen. And the colours on each gemstone seems to appear brighter now! We also have done up each stone's properties and interesting facts for customers to understand the jewelry they bought.

In short, we are very happy with the end results of our mini makeover. With that complete, more new stocks are up on racks for jewelry! We have really nice 18k drop earrings and nice rings too! Should you want to see the full range of stocks, remember to pop by to our shop to see the full collection!

KAYLENE: YAY or NAY?

I need help girls!!!!!

I figured you girls should know by now that our production lead time is always faster than actual launch. I am in the midst of preparing APRIL to MAY collection (yes, March is confirmed and in process of production). I am really stressing out on this and I really need your help on this.

For weeks.... I have modifying our lazer print designs and I kind of finalised the final layout. For those who are eager on my flamingo print, I regret to inform you that I scrapped off the idea as I felt it was NOT unique enough and it wasnt speaking out to me. The few weeks of preparation for Flamingo was sort of a waste. I was depressed initially because I couldnt seem to put a finger what went wrong. Until I sorted out my previous collection and viola! ORIGAMI! I know we used it during the FFF Week 2013 but this time we wanted to bring out the 'flavor' of the art. Hence i started doing research..

I love the idea on how the lines are so clean and simple, and that using paper can actually fold something so beautiful... I was so inspired...

I kinda know what I want the final to look like. So i did alot of research. Had mini discussions of this with staff and alot of issues were raised. This time, it wasnt the print, it was the idea of whether the designs can sell because our customers are more... conservative so to speak.

I took a few more weeks and thought hard on how I can achieve my final look... after careful planning and tore lots of paper, I came up with this print.

it is actuallyinspired by origami folded hearts and I happened to see one with wings folded too.. I got so inspired and started my own interpretion of my 'hearts on wings'

So now the question is: YAY or NAY?

Now to the girls wondering how the final product will look like I did up a mock up. Tell me, do you like it on a skirt only or prefer it to be on a dress??

Let me know! This is a milestone for KAYLENE as this is the first time we are doing prints on fabric...our customised prints.. whoo hoo!
